| Data Center Maintenance: All servers in the CIS data center will be shut down to perform power capacity upgrades for approximately 4 to 6 hours. Saturday, October 10, 2009 , beginning at 6:00 a.m. This upgrade will impact all network dependent technology on campus including internet, employee and student email services, telephone services, web services, SHIP, Banner, Pirates' Cove, Pirate Card Services, PeopleSoft and lab computers. Data center maintenace will occur on 8/29/09, from 6:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. Multiple servers need to be relocated in the data center. The following will experience a short interruption of services during the implementation period: GroupWise Post Office 2, GroupWise Messenger, McAfee Epolicy Orchestrator - VirusScan, and Novell Application Distribution. |

Pirate Card Maintenance: Blackboard will be adding redundancy and failover processes 8/22, beginning at 12am EDT and expected to end no later than 3am EDT. We expect this work to cause minimal disruption to payment processing services however you may experience a slight increase in response times during the maintenance window. These changes to the system will provide additional fault tolerance during the expected increase in transaction traffic as students return to campus. |
