INTRODUCTION TO VISTA
Date: Thursday, August 7, 2008
Time: 10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Participants will break for lunch from 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Lunch is on your own.

Morning Session: Communication Tools and File Management
Participants take a hands-on tour of the Vista environment, learn to create a discussions board, and add icons that link to Vista tools and pages of content. Explore how to use communication tools such as email and chat and learn how to manage files and create a learning module in the Vista environment.
Afternoon Session: Gradebook, Tracking and Assessments
This session will cover the many options available to instructors when managing student information such as posting student grades and managing the Vista electronic gradebook as well as answer questions about tracking student access and usage within the Vista course. In addition, we will show you how to add assessments to Vista using Respondus. Please note that participation in afternoon session requires participation in morning session.
