VoIP Voicemail set up for AASU

To Access Voicemail press the Message button to connect directly to your voicemail system on your telephone or dial extension 50000 from on campus.

The first time you log in to your voicemail your default code will be 0000. Please change the password to something only you will know when setting up the voicemail for the first time.

Follow the voice prompts from your voicemail system to set up your mailbox.

  • The "message button" (with the envelope icon) on the right of your handset will be red when you have voice mail. Also, a red light on the upper right-hand corner of your telephone will be lit when you have messages waiting.
  • To access voicemail from off campus dial 344-2501. Press the "#" key as soon as the system answers. You will then be prompted to enter your 5-digit mail box number (your 5-digit extension). After you have entered your mail box number, the system will prompt you to enter your security code. The system will then allow you to check your messages, change your standard greeting, etc.

Out of Office Greeting:

After logging into your Voice Mail you can set the out of Office Greeting:
Select 3 - Set User Options
Select 1 - Personal Options
Select 3 - Record Personal Greeting
Select 3 - Out of Office Greeting
Then follow the prompt to record your Out of Office Greeting. Once you have completed recording the Out of Office Greeting is set up. To turn off your Out of Office Greeting, log back into the phone and it will give you the option to turn off. To set the Out of Office Greeting for later time select 3, 1, 3, 3, 5.

Order of Voice Mail Messages

After logging into your Voice Mail you can change the order of voice mail messages in the new system:
Select 3 - Set User Options
Select 2 - Messaging Options
Select 5 - Change Message presentation Ordering
Select Option 1 - Order on First in First Out message.
You can then hang up or select the additional options.

Saved Messages

When listening to Saved messages you can perform these functions:
Select 4 - Delete
Select 8 - Reply
Select 2 - Forward
Select 6 - Review
You can select 7 to skip to next message but it just does not state that in the recording. This works the same way when you are on or off campus for saved messages.
