The Secure W2 TTLS Client for Windows XP and Vista is now accessible using your Pirates Cove account. Uninstall the the Odyssey Client prior to installing the new client. Through your Pirates Cove account you can install the client by selecting the link for the WiFi Client.

| What do I need on my laptop to access the campus wireless signal? |
|
Wireless usage on AASU campus requires at a minimum Windows XP (Service Pack 2) or Mac OS 10.4. You also will be required to install the preconfigured client which can be installed from Pirates Cove. The WPA2 client provides government and enterprise grade security. You will need your AASU Pirates Cove username and password information to connect.

| Where do I get the preconfigured client? |
|
The Secure W2 TTLS Client for Windows XP and Vista is required to be installed to authenticate to AASU Wireless Network. The client can be downloaded through Pirates Cove. The link is directly beside the Blast link on your Pirates Cove homepage. A CD-Rom will be available at the CIS Helpdesk if you are unable to access the web to log into Pirates Cove on your personal laptop. When you stop by the CIS HelpDesk with your laptop you will be provided with a CD-Rom to load the software on your system at the Helpdesk counter area. The CD-Rom can only be used at the Helpdesk area and cannot be removed from the CIS Helpdesk area. CIS Helpdesk staff can guide you through the steps of accessing the software but will not load the software on your personal laptop. |
| Why do I need to install a client? |
|
Access for Students, Faculty and Staff is available only through a WPA2 secure connection. This secure connection will reduce the possibility of your information being compromised as it traverses the wireless network and meets the State of Georgia recommendations for wireless networks. |
| How do I install and access the preconfigued software? |
|
The Secure W2 TTLS Client for Windows XP and Vista can be downloaded from Pirates Cove or by using a cd at the CIS Helpdesk counter. Below is listed installation instructions based on your laptop operating system. |
